- Extra Virgin Olive Oil — 2 Teaspoons

Prep Steps
- Use a paring knife to cut the core out of the tomato. Then, use a serrated knife to cut the tomato into 1/2 inch thick slices. You need 2 slices per person.
- Pick large basil leaves off the stems.
- Slice the mozzarella into 1/4 inch thick slices. You need 2 slices per person.
Cook Steps
- Layer the slices of tomato and mozzarella on a serving platter, overlapping them as you go. Insert a whole basil leaf in between every other slice.
- Season the tomatoes, mozzarella and basil with salt and pepper. Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic syrup over the top.
- The beefsteak tomatoes, mozzarella and basil are ready to eat!
